christmas kommentary

Christmas Eve... (1) K1 & K2 roadtrip to Arkansas. (2) Mom added a new stocking this year for Keith. His stocking matches the wallpaper design in Kelly's stocking. (3) Karla shows everyone the card Jason gave her for Christmas. Aww, so sweet. (4) Karla still talking to Mom about the card from Jason. Good grief! (5) Jason sent Karla a text message to wish us all a Merry Christmas. Jason, Jason, Jason. (6) Mom and K2 enjoying Mom's new burgundy leather couch. Probably still talking about the card from Jason. (7) Over the river & thru the woods, to grandmother's house we go... with K5, K3, and Mom. (8) Dad brings food. TGI Friday's spinach artichoke dip from Sam's. (9) K2 ala Skyasorous Rex enjoying carrots & celery with vegetable dip. (10) Crab dip. Never lasts long around our family. (11) K1. No story to go with this pic. Just thought I looked pretty in it. (12) Grandma baking goodies. (13) Family, food, and fun. (14) Imagine if... we played Imaginiff. (15) Cory is happy because he was giving Uncle Jack the smack down. (16) Uncle Jack strikes back!

Christmas Day... (17) Traditional picture of the K's in front of the fireplace. (18) K2 eats again. (19) Food. Lots of food. (20) Christmas shoes. (21) Santa Claus. (22) Uncle T aka Elf with the Stockings. (23) Presents. Gifts. (24) We take lots of pictures -- pictures of others; pictures of ourselves. (25) Dad got a SpongeBob dvd player to match his SpongeBob tv. (26) Uncle T... then w/ hair; now w/ an elf hat. (27) Grandpa and his favorite grandchild... just kidding! (28) Grandma and her favorite grandchild... not kidding! ok, I am kidding after all. Grandma & Grandpa love us all very much & very equally! (29) K4 & Keith loving each other. Newlyweds... good grief. (30) Mom smiling as she enjoys Christmas with all her K's. (31) Then, K2 and I left the family Christmas party to come back to Springfield. K2 had plans with Jason and his family. Aww, don't they look sweet! Wonder if Mom will be making a new stocking for Jason next year... hmm... sorry, I harrass you because I love you. (32) ... and to all a good night!!!

why i hate politiks!!!

i'm writing to express how upset i am at stupid politikal addresses. here's the situation: i was sitting, all kozy in my big red chair, feeling all christmas-y and eagerly anticipating the beginning of a new christmas movie ("The Christmas Blessing" on CBS) when the stupid presidential address takes over network television! WHAT!?! WHY!?! do i really need to know what's going on with the iraqi elections? NO! isn't that why we pay kongressmen and other politicians? to take care of all that political stuff for us? i don't want to hear this krap! i want to watch the christmas movie!

but before i get hate mail and nasty komments, let me klarify a few things. (1) i do not hate the president. i respekt him as a man and as the leader of our kountry. i am thankful that a christian man is in authority over us. (2) i totally support and kompletely admire our soldiers. i am thankful to all the men and women who are serving in the military. i realize that their sakrifices are ensuring my freedom and kontinued freedom for future generations. i also am sad that so many soldiers have to be away from their families during the holidays. i wish they kould have a christmas vakation like the rest of us. (3) i simply do not kare about the details of politiks. i trust that everything is being taken kare of by those who know all the details of it. and that's my silly little opinion on the subjekt.

so here is my proposal for how to broadcast the presidential addresses and other so-called special reports. this idea is inspired by k3. rather than interrupting the regularly scheduled programming, they should have a special pop-up box (like picture-in-picture televisions) with a button on our remotes to "accept" or "ignore" the special report. wouldn't that be perfekt?! then, the politikal people kan hear all about it... and the rest of us kan watch the regularly scheduled programming... and everyone's happy!

ok, so now the president is finished with his 15 minute speech. so why are the news people repeating their favorite parts of his speech?!?! do we really need a rekap?!?! i don't think so! we're not deaf. we heard it the first time. sheesh!

(deep sigh of relief) ahh, they're going to now start the movie from the beginning. i was afraid that they might cut into the movie in progress. i'm not so mad now. shame on me for getting upset over nothing. although i still think k3's idea about the pop-up boxes are a good idea.

attention, seinfeld fans!!!

ok, so i know a lot of people who love seinfeld. but i don't. i've never been able to watch an entire episode without getting bored. i katch it from time to time on late nite tv. but here's my proposal... i will force myself to watch one entire episode of it... but if i don't like it... i will never watch seinfeld again. so here's where i need help. which episode should i watch? which is the funniest? which is the best? which one will earn my undying devotion? the polls are now open... gosh, i wish i had a downtown blogs site... then i could set up a bonafide poll...

what not to wear

i love this show! has anyone else ever considered wearing in the worst clothing imaginable... just to qualify for the whole wardrobe makeover thing? i would sacrifice my dignity for that cause. you bet your sweet little *whatever* i would! i want that visa card for the $5,000 shopping spree in nyc. yep, that's what i want. ahh, dreams. "...this is my grown-up christmas list..." everytime i hear that song on the radio, i realize that my grown-up christmas wishes become a bit more selfish every year. are there any other adults out there whose grown-up christmas list includes items other than whirled peas... i mean, world peace? i think it's ridiculous to wish for world peace b/c it's not gonna happen 'til christ comes back to reign on earth for that 1,000 years or whatever. (my theology may be a bit off, so i can't remember the exact time frame, and i'm too lazy to go look it up, but you get the point.) and now i'm inspired to make a list of my favorite things. or maybe i want to make an exhaustive version of my christmas list. i don't know. but i wanna make a list of some sort. i like... cmt music videos. i'm watching faith & her cowboy husband sing the "never loved at all" song. i think this is a countdown of faith hill's top songs. ugh, i just do not like faith as a brunette. she's a blonde. that's just who she is. she needs to stay blonde. wow, maybe i should make a list of actors who have had bi-colored hair transformations. (i just made up that word: bi-colored... not sure that it really applies but it sounds kinda kool anyway.) yikes, i forgot to do the "k" spelling thing. sheesh, i'm losing my blog touch. not that i really ever had one in the first place. this is the most random blog post i've ever kreated. krazy. i wanna be a celebrity. wouldn't that be cool? having stylists to always do your hair & makeup & clothing? wouldn't it be awesome if your job was just to look good? that sounds shallow, but it would be fun. when people asked what you did for a living, you could say, "well, my job is to let people make me look pretty". on sekond thought, that is really very shallow. and it wouldn't be a fun job at all. there would be unimaginable pressure. there would be diet nazi facists who wouldn't let you eat stuff. wow, the more i think about this, the stupider the idea gets. (yes, i know stupider isn't a word; i used it for effekt.) it makes me feel like a rebel to type this post as one paragraph. not like that's the only grammatikal error i'm making here, but it's the one that bothers me the most. misspelling words with "k" is hard. it goes against nature to spell words like that, but i do it for the sake of the kronikals. there was a customer who recently called me "kristy kringle"... what on earth was he thinking? just feeling christmas-y? i don't know, but it was totally weird. ok, now it's faith's "cry" video. it's #8. i love the tv channels that christmasize their logos. cmt has a snowflake around the cmt letters. nice. very nice. i want to see one that actually has falling snow. i love falling snow. if i could somehow create the effect of falling snow in my apartment, i would make it snow all winter long. how kould i akomplish that? hmmm... hafta think about that one. my apartment is a mess. shocker! (with sarkasm) better get off my lazy *whatever* and klean it up.

i'm back but i don't know why

i have nothing to write about. or so i think. which is why i've not blogged lately. i've got the blog blahs. i'm sitting here watching tv. tonight i've watched HITCH and REUNION and now it's WITHOUT A TRACE.

it's nearly christmas! (although i should spell it "kristmas" to keep the K thing going, it seems wrong to make it look more like my name and less like the beautiful name of christ. since the rest of the whole world is trying to skweeze his dear name out of the holidays, i will keep him where he belongs!) anyway... i have decorated my little apartment with awesome lights... they're big fuzzy snowballs in bright kolors! i also have little bitty red lights on my bookkase and a vase full of satin ornaments on my dining table. christmas kandles are on my breakfast bar. a snowman towel is hanging on my oven door. yep, it's beginning to look a lot like christmas!

tomorrow is friday. woo hoo! i'm glad. saturday night is my cousin's christmas party, so i'm driving down to arkansas for fun with the family. maybe i'll take some pix and post them next week. yep, that's a good idea. for sure.

ok, my eyes are tired. it's only 9:44, but i'm gonna shower and crash anyway. i'll take some allergy medicine, too. maybe that's why my eyes hurt. maybe i'm not tired after all. who knows. oh krap! i forgot to do a load of laundry. yikes. maybe i'll just wear dirty klothes tomorrow. eww, that's not a good idea. i guess i'll go do some laundry now. bye.

Jumping for Joy!!!

For those of you that couldn't stay up 'til 11:00pm last night...NEWS FLASH

THE CARDS WIN GAME 5!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'll admit it, I had a "Tom Cruise" moment in that I jumped up on the couch and shouted as Albert Pujols' homerun in the 9th inning was hit. Well, the Cards are heading back to STL for a one and hopefully two more games, hopefully wins.

GO CARDS!!!

Game 1

Ok, I'm so bad. I haven't posted in weeks! Things have been so busy for me and time has been flying by. But that's no excuse. I'll try to be better!

Anyways, Dad and I went to St. Louis this week to see the Cards beat the Pads in Game 1 of the National League Division Series. What a game! The Cards turned 3 double plays and a grand slam by Reggie Sanders! Great October baseball!

My prediction...Cards will beat the Yankees to win the last World Series to be played at Busch Memorial Stadium! What a perfect ending!

Anyone else have a prediction???

Yummy, Yummy!

Can I just say I love cooking and I love to watch the Food Network, too...Emeril, Rachel Rae, Good Eats...just to name a few favorites!

Since I live in the upstairs of a family's home and eat meals with them I don't get much time to cook myself. Don't get me wrong...I live with a former home-ec teacher who cooks phenomenally. But last week I did get to make dinner for a couple at work who just had a baby. Chicken & Rice, Steamed Vegetables, Rolls, and Brownies.

Tonight I made a couple desserts for a meeting we're having tomorrow at work. I made a favorite of mine "Cherry Cheesecake" and a new dessert called "Fudge Sundae Pie". It looks pretty. But I'll have to wait to hear how it tastes tomorrow. I don't like chocolate so I won't be eating any.

Anyways, I'll share the recipe and let you try it out for yourself! Hey, I'll try to post random recipes occasionally!

Fudge Sundae Pie

2 Chocolate Ready-Made Crust
1 c. Evaporated Milk
1 c. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 c. Mini Marshmallows
1 pint Vanilla Ice Cream, soften
1 c. Chopped Pecans

Combine milk, chocolate chips, and marshmallows in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in microwave stirring every minute until melted. Set aside to cool to room temperature. Place ice cream in chocolate crusts and put in freezer to harden. Once chocolate sauce has cooled, pour over ice cream. Sprinkle nuts on top of chocolate. Place in freezer until ready to serve. Serves approx. 16 (2-pies).

Where Have I Been?

Please forgive me bloggers, it's been 16 days since my last blog.

I feel I have been neglecting the blog world the past few weeks. And for that I apologize. I have been pre-occupied with work since our fiscal year begins in September I've been working on a lot of end of year reports, etc in preperation for our National Board Meeting next week.

I've also been watching a lot of Fox News lately. Being the political sister of the klan, I think I've been boring my sisters with all my political views on the aftermath of Katrina and the Supreme Court nominations.

Not much going on right now. Getting ready to start up a Bible study with a group of ladies here in town on Friday. We're studying 1 Kings and 2 Chronicles, "A Divided Heart, A Divided Nation", all about Israel. I'm excited about it!

Well, I'll try not to wait as long for my next blog. Ciao!

I'm a little blogpot...

does anyone else ever type "blogpots" instead of "blogspot"? i do it all the freakin' time! grrr....

...and i will always love you... whitney's singin' it on the radio now. sad song. sad movie. wouldn't that be just my luck?! tragic romance. falling in love and saying goodbye. ugh. why are there so many movies about that? does that ever happen in real life? i think it probably does. and maybe that's ok. but it would be kinda weird to totally fall in love with someone... then part ways... and then fall in love with another guy who becomes my husband. wouldn't it be weird to love two men? or does the love for the first one go away when the second one comes along? can we love more than one person at a time? wow, i think weird things when i'm tired. it's kinda thrilling actually. like i'm too tired to actually care about what i'm writing about, so i'm just blabbing on senselessly. enough of that.

rob thomas is now singing... "i don't wanna be lonely no more". oh shut up. i need to find a new radio station. obviously. where's a good inspirational christian song when you need one? kadi... here i come! (that's KADI the radio station not some weird funky spelling of katie... though that's kinda cool... if i owned the KADI radio station, i might name my daughter "Kadi" just for kicks!)

hmmm... what other randomness can i babble about? actually, i'm kinda tired now. yep, pooped. good night.

Sabbatical???

Say it aint so, kid! I heard K1 mention the other day that she might be taking a break from the blogging scene. She'll still comment, but maybe not post for a while. What's the world coming to? This can't happen. She started Kronikals, she must stay. Please sign the "Keep K1 Blogging" petition.

5 Days and Counting

Counting down the days 'til K4's wedding. This week is about to get really busy so I probably won't be blogging a whole lot after Tuesday. I'll be heading down to Arkansas to start getting things ready. My dual role as bridesmaid/wedding planner has kept me busy these past 8 months. But I've loved it! We should have plenty of photos to post after the event seeing how we counted up at least 6 professional photographers that will be in attendance (not counting dear 'ole dad).

Pickle Update: Finished canning the pickles today and ended up with 33 pints. That's a lot of pickles! So, if there's ever a famine I guess we won't starve, we can just live on pickles!

DTB Hangout: Those of you who missed the DTB hangout Sunday night don't know what you missed. Way too much fun was had! I forgot my camera but you can check out some photos on these blogs:
www.hillenblog.com & www.downtownblogs.com Great photos you guys!

Domesti-K

Today I went to wedding #2 of my 7 weddings in 2 months. It was a beautiful wedding! During the lighting of the candles we had a praise and worship time. They had written their own vows which beautifully reflected their relationship together. It was a very God-centered wedding! They also did something really neat at the reception. Each round table had a beautifully decorated cake in the middle of it to kind of serve as the center-piece. When the bride and groom cut their small cake they invited everyone else to cut the cakes at their tables. There were 3 different flavors scattered throughout so you could go meet people at another table if you wanted a piece of their cake. I descretely made my exit before the whole bouquet toss thing!

How did K2 spent her Saturday evening you might ask? I spent 2 hours doing a cucumber treatment. That is if you count cutting up cucumbers for pickels as a "treatment". When I was finished my hands did have this weird slimy peel that I had to scrub off (with a plastic scratcher), but my hands feel really soft now! The pickles are currently soaking in a lime-water bath overnight. They'll be ready for canning tomorrow!

Weddings in the Air

Today I received yet another wedding invitation in the mail. That brings my total to 4 invitations received in the past week. I was just looking at my calendar and yes, I have 7 weddings to go to in under 2 months. Wow! Congratualtions to all my freiends who have already or are getting ready to tie-the-knot!

Speaking of upcoming weddings, K4 has decided to give blogging a try. Since she'll be moving near Fayetteville soon she decided to go ahead and jump on the band-wagon. Check it out at www.kjdwyer.blogspot.com.

BTW - Does anyone know where the phrase "band-wagon" came from? Just curious!

Background Music

So, today I was listening to 88.3fm (The Wind) and was wondering if anyone else finds it interesting that they play Coldplay's "Clocks" and "The Theme from Forrest Gump" as their background music for their station ad. Don't get me wrong, I love Coldplay and the instrumental from Forrest Gump is really nice. I just thought it a bit odd.

Sobriety Checkpoint

After leaving downtown Springfield tonight I headed to the fair to drop something off for K1. It was around 11:15pm, I was driving up Glenstone and yes, right in front of Evangel I got to participate in my first ever "Sobriety Checkpoint". Yes, I passed! All I had to do was show my driver's license and then when he asked if I'd been drinking I said only coffee and tea! It was pretty neat though. I've heard about them on New Year's Eve but didn't know that they do them throughout the year. I think it's a great idea and will be mailng in the survey card the cop gave me. My favorite part... the cars that were pulling off to the side of the road and turning around after seeing the "sobriety checkpoint" sign. Can you say...GUILTY?!?!?!?!

8.03.2005

Another "K" Engaged

I can't beleive it's been over a week since my last post. Being the designated "wedding planner" for K4's wedding, which is less than 3 weeks away, has kept me pretty busy. Not to mention things are busy at work with less than 2 weeks left of Kamp and K-Life stuff getting real busy.

Last weekend was CRAZY with bridal portraits, a wedding shower, a meeting at the church, a bridal shower, and not to mention the annual Plumlee family Christmas card photo. But thankfully I survived them all. I even ran up to Springfield on Monday night to see K1 at the fair. It was fun! I also saw Hillen (btw, thanks for the ticket) and got to meet Millsie!

Anyways, getting to the subject of this blog. That's right! Only 18 days before K4's wedding and K5 announces she's engaged. Keeping with the whole "kuh" sound she'll be marrying none other than...Cody. That'll make us: Kristy, Karla, Kim, Kelly, Kayla, and new comers Keith, and Cody. Don't worry, K1, K3, and I are determined to break the "kuh" sound eventually! When you ask? Your guess is as good as mine. :-)

I think after going through all of K4's wedding plans that K5 has decided she wants to have a small destination wedding. Maybe Cancun? Oh no, the "kuh" sound again!

Wow, 2 weddings will probably take place within 9 months of each other! Don't worry, at the current pace it could be a while before there is another wedding in the family. At least coming from me, but K1 and K3 may have other ideas! :-)

That's all for now. I'll try not to wait so long for the next post. K2, Out!

Rice Krispie Treat Variations

This weekend while visiting K1 in Springfield I thought I'd surprise her by making Rice Krispie Treats. While trying to decide between the 13.5 oz box of Rice Krispies or the 19 oz box I heard, "It's K2!". Surprised, I turned around and low and behold it was Hillen and Wife. We had a nice little chat there in the cereal aisle of the Wal-Mart Super Center on Glenstone. You just never know who you'll run in to!

Anyways, they were telling me that Sky likes to use Fruity Pebbles instead of Rice Krispies. Yummy! I'll most certianly have to try that one the next time.

So, I'm wondering if we could come up with enough variations to publish a cookbook titled, "The Metamorphosis of the Crispie Rice Square". Any suggestions?

Also, in the conversation I discovered that Sky and I have something in common that most people don't... we don't like chocolate! Sky...I've not met you yet, but I already like ya!

Ode to Audrey

"Audrey: A Life in Pictures".... i bought this amazing book at b&n for my coffee table. the colors on the cover perfectly match my decor. it totally ties the room together. i'm oh so happy. i want to invite people over... just to see my book on my coffee table... so does that mean i'm pathetic? or maybe just superficial? or maybe i just enjoy the little things in life? i dunno. no, i'm leaning more toward the pathetic, superficial thing.

so, i'm sitting here. eating a burnt grilled cheese sandwich. blogging. and watching dukes of hazzard on tv. i love the voice of the narrator. is that uncle jesse? i dunno. anyway, i burnt my sandwich so that's sad. but it's ok cuz i can wash it down with a fresh peach. thanks, dad, for sharing the peaches with k2 and me. it hits the spot... cuz the spot was hungry! *LOL* that's an inside joke... dad always says that...

"peaches, peaches... my nose itches... somebody's coming with a hole in their britches" yep. that's something my granny shahan always said. i have no idea what it means. it's actually kinda silly, but that's ok. it makes me smile becuase it makes me think of her.

wow. this is way random. what do (1) audrey hepburn, (2) grilled cheese sandwiches, (3) the dukes of hazzard, (4) peaches, and (5) granny shahan have in common? that's right...they're all in my blog. holy kow.

Brunette...the new blonde???

I went to the music store the other day and had to do a double take when I saw the poster for Faith Hill's new cd. I almost didn't recognize her as a brunette. What's up with that? Then I was watching tv and saw commercials with both Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelley Preston as brunettes. They look so different. In my opinion they look better as blondes. Has the brunette thing ever worked for a blonde? Most of the ones I can think of have gone back to their blonde roots!

Which famous blonde will be next to join the brunette world...Dolly Parton, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson, Pamela Anderson, Anna Kournikova, Kelly Rippa, Gwen Stefani???

Bored in Branson

Ok, that sounds a little like "Sleepless in Seattle". I've really never been bored in my entire life. Maybe it comes from my mom saying if she ever heard us girls say we were bored she'd give us something to do.

Don't get me wrong, I'm saying very busy with work (which I love) and planning K4's wedding (which is fun). But with most of my friends gone during the summer I don't really have anyone to hang out with in the evenings and weekends.

Luckily I have a wonderful sister who lets me stay with her in Springfield on the weekends! ;-) Springfield... what a fun town! If the drive to Branson wasn't so long and if gas prices weren't so RIDICULOUS I'd consider living there and driving to Branson to work.

Most of the people I have hung out with the past 2 years in Branson have either moved or have/are getting married. I can still hang out with them, but it's just different now that they're married. I feel like the odd man out. So Springfield may just become my new weekend home-away-from-home this year!

Springfield, MO... here I come!!!

The Road Trip & Seinfeld

Ok, so I recently spent a lot of time on the road... riding to the Outer Banks, NC and back. I guestimate around 40 hours in all. I mean, what are you suppose to do? You can only do so many crossword puzzles and sleep so many hours before cabin fever sets in.

So, since I had some time I though I'd reaquaint myself with an old sit-com favorite... SEINFELD!!!

Of course, since I was listening via headphones the others in the vehicle thought I was crazy, having these sudden outburst of laughter. They just looked at me as if I was on something. So, thanks to Jerry and the gang, for making a LONG road trip a little more bearable!

Since we're on the subject... I think I'm going to need some help convining K1 that she'd love Seinfeld it she'd only give it a chance! It really is the best!

Kreepy, Kreepier, Kreepiest

I do believe that Hide and Seek is the kreepiest movie I've seen in years! I skreamed at least 4-5 times. And I still feel kinda kreepy...

Movies are kreepier when you watch them in your own home. Or at least that's my opinion. If you get skared in a theater, you can walk out and leave "the boogie man" behind. However, if you meet "the boogie man" while you're sitting in your own living room... yikes. There's nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide.

And now that the movie is over... and my friends have left... it's just me... (I hope...)

Come out, come out, whereever you are... (kreepy!)

  1. Send a text message to: 46645
  2. Enter the text message: war of the worlds springfield mo
  3. Receive a text message with the showtimes

And my personal fave... definitions! Try this one... enter 'define bunkum'.

There are also options for weather and other stuff.

Vakation to North Karolina

I just got back from a vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It was great spending a week on the beach! Best part of the trip... (besides coming back with a nice little tan), when I was body surfing and turned my back to the ocean to talk to the rest of the guys on the shore. Yep, I didn't see the wave coming right behind me and it turned before I got under. It churned me several times sending me straight to the ocean floor, sand filling my suit. When I finally came up I couldn't open my eyes because of the salt water and thought my top had come off and that I had just flashed everyone. They assured me that didn't happen! :-) But only they will ever know the truth! It might be awhile before I try body surfing again! Coughing up sand all day wasn't much fun! For sure I'll pay more attention next time!

Things I learned while on vacation:
#1 Don't turn your back on the ocean... it has a mind of it's own!
#2 Old men really, really, really shouldn't wear speedos!

Who is Gigi?

Gigi... who are you?

Meet the K's

From left to right = K3, K4, K2, K5, K1

Let's give a Bloggy welkome to... K2!!!

As the eldest K, I would like to welkome my sekond-born sister to Kronikals! She will be joining my bloggations (I just made up that word, and I like it!). Stay tuned for K2... she just got back from a road trip to the beach...

Firekrackers!

Ok, so today is the 4th of July. Happy Independence Day! Next year, I'm going to celebrate the day by doing something very independent (rather than the traditional celebration of patriotism). Any suggestions? This year was traditional...

Here's how I spent my day...

PART 1 - Lounging around my parents' house with my parents and my sisters. Topics of conversation included: K4's wedding; laundry; scheduling upcoming holiday celebrations.

PART 2 - Soaking up the sun while hanging out with K4 and her in-laws-to-be at their pool. Also, eating. Meal included: steak, baked potato, broccoli and cauliflower salad, krab* salad, and "Yum-Yum". (*indicates crab salad made by K1 & Keith)

PART 3 - Sitting in the parking lot of High Street while watching James River's fireworks show. It was just my "Stile". (That would be... with the Stiles family... *LOL*)

PART 4 - Blogging. Checking e-mail. Watching "Windtalkers" on A&E. Chatting with Hillen. Eating leftover krab salad. Chatting with K2. Blogging more.

and coming up... PART 5 - Shower. Sleep.

Kandles anyone?

I love PartyLite kandles! They are the best kandles in the whole wide world! And that is why I buy them for myself and sell them to others. You've simply not lived until you've experienced the perfektion of burning a PartyLite kandle. I'll explain more at my PartyLite party on Tuesday night. 7pm. My apartment. One lucky winner will receive $50-$100 in free product! What a deal! If you miss the party... that's ok... you've still not missed the boat... you can host your very own party and still get free stuff! How awesome is that?

And once again... I'm wishing I could post some pix. I've gotta get my act together and download the photo thing. Yep.

Time flies when you're...

... having fun? ... moving into a new apartment? ... driving to Arkansas for the 3rd consecutive weekend? It's a toss up, I suppose. :-)

Thanks to Skylar for waking me up! Wow, it has been a long time since my last blog. Yikes!

Welcome, Tim, to the Blog world! When are you gonna start blogging yourself?

Ok, so I'm sitting in my newly painted living room (beautifully colored in "sea turtle") watching Flashdance on WE. Oh, wait. It just ended. So now I'm watching Black Hawk Down on FX. Diversity is the key to being a well-balanced tv-aholic.

(I need to start posting pix on my blog. I'll do that soon.)

I watched Batman Begins this weekend. It is BY FAR the BEST movie I've seen in a long, long time. And I never thought I'd love a Batman more than George or Val. But I do. I really do. And you will, too. You really will. I promise. I really promise.

Ok... pix coming soon. Stay tuned.

Kountdown to K4 + Keith

11 weeks... wow... how kwikly time is flying by! K4 is gooooin' to the chapel... and she's... gonna get ma-a-a-rried...

Keith will be the first brother-in-law... and the sixth K... but we can't decide whether to kall him K6 or K4.5? :-) The "K" Khaos is out of kontrol... don't ya think! Stop the insanity! Or... we kould just go with it? Kan we find four eligible Mr. K's for the remaining Miss K's? Aktually, K5 is dating Cody... so I guess we kould (hypothetikally) change his spelling to Kody?

Ok... I got off trak there... bak to the upkoming wedding...

It's all fun stuff right now... dresses... invitations... showers... but I know the inevitable is coming... my little sister is getting married... and I'm going to kry.

Return of the Sip

Ahh! Lemme hear it for the return of 59-cent fountain drinks at Quik Trip!!! I personally recommend mixing a li'l bit o' Cherry-Lime in your Dr. Pepper... mmm... yeah!

Keeper or Krap

So this is where I'll talk about movies I've seen... and why I think they're a "Keeper" or "Krap"... stay tuned...

Kwestion of the Week: Krazy Spinoffs

K2, K3, and I were talking tonight about our favorite TV shows... and we've got some suggestions for spinoffs...

Which idea is the best?
(A) Desperate Housewives: Special Victims Unit
(B) 24's sitcom spinoff entitled "12"
(C) CSI: Branson
(D) Iraqi Idol
(E) FOUND

Kwote of the Week

I kompletely agree with Helen Keller... "When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long as the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."
