i'm writing to express how upset i am at stupid politikal addresses. here's the situation: i was sitting, all kozy in my big red chair, feeling all christmas-y and eagerly anticipating the beginning of a new christmas movie ("The Christmas Blessing" on CBS) when the stupid presidential address takes over network television! WHAT!?! WHY!?! do i really need to know what's going on with the iraqi elections? NO! isn't that why we pay kongressmen and other politicians? to take care of all that political stuff for us? i don't want to hear this krap! i want to watch the christmas movie!
but before i get hate mail and nasty komments, let me klarify a few things. (1) i do not hate the president. i respekt him as a man and as the leader of our kountry. i am thankful that a christian man is in authority over us. (2) i totally support and kompletely admire our soldiers. i am thankful to all the men and women who are serving in the military. i realize that their sakrifices are ensuring my freedom and kontinued freedom for future generations. i also am sad that so many soldiers have to be away from their families during the holidays. i wish they kould have a christmas vakation like the rest of us. (3) i simply do not kare about the details of politiks. i trust that everything is being taken kare of by those who know all the details of it. and that's my silly little opinion on the subjekt.
so here is my proposal for how to broadcast the presidential addresses and other so-called special reports. this idea is inspired by k3. rather than interrupting the regularly scheduled programming, they should have a special pop-up box (like picture-in-picture televisions) with a button on our remotes to "accept" or "ignore" the special report. wouldn't that be perfekt?! then, the politikal people kan hear all about it... and the rest of us kan watch the regularly scheduled programming... and everyone's happy!
ok, so now the president is finished with his 15 minute speech. so why are the news people repeating their favorite parts of his speech?!?! do we really need a rekap?!?! i don't think so! we're not deaf. we heard it the first time. sheesh!
(deep sigh of relief) ahh, they're going to now start the movie from the beginning. i was afraid that they might cut into the movie in progress. i'm not so mad now. shame on me for getting upset over nothing. although i still think k3's idea about the pop-up boxes are a good idea.

i agree.
That's just part of living in a country that is based on democracy, where the people actually have a part in the way the government is run. Yes, we have congressmen, but we still have a say. Would you really rather live in some 3rd world country where women are treated as 2nd class citizens sometimes even below the animals? I think not. Quit complaining and appreciate the fact that you have the opportunity to even watch tv instead of being stuck out in a field sleeping with the sheep!
