Today I went to wedding #2 of my 7 weddings in 2 months. It was a beautiful wedding! During the lighting of the candles we had a praise and worship time. They had written their own vows which beautifully reflected their relationship together. It was a very God-centered wedding! They also did something really neat at the reception. Each round table had a beautifully decorated cake in the middle of it to kind of serve as the center-piece. When the bride and groom cut their small cake they invited everyone else to cut the cakes at their tables. There were 3 different flavors scattered throughout so you could go meet people at another table if you wanted a piece of their cake. I descretely made my exit before the whole bouquet toss thing!
How did K2 spent her Saturday evening you might ask? I spent 2 hours doing a cucumber treatment. That is if you count cutting up cucumbers for pickels as a "treatment". When I was finished my hands did have this weird slimy peel that I had to scrub off (with a plastic scratcher), but my hands feel really soft now! The pickles are currently soaking in a lime-water bath overnight. They'll be ready for canning tomorrow!

you put limes in your pickles? i dont know how we make ours, but i dont think we put limes in them.
It actually a pickling lime powder you mix in with water to soak the cucumbers in. I don't know if it has something to do with the alkaline or what.
Sounds like a couple of happy coffee beans...
We like our coffee with Limes...along with our pickles...
I know how we make our pickles. We open a jar!! Hillen, you also like lime with your tequila flavored chips;-) Seriously Karla, I have always thought it pretty cool how different ones of you can pickles or make beef jerky or grow herbs. What a domestic family.
