Today I received yet another wedding invitation in the mail. That brings my total to 4 invitations received in the past week. I was just looking at my calendar and yes, I have 7 weddings to go to in under 2 months. Wow! Congratualtions to all my freiends who have already or are getting ready to tie-the-knot!
Speaking of upcoming weddings, K4 has decided to give blogging a try. Since she'll be moving near Fayetteville soon she decided to go ahead and jump on the band-wagon. Check it out at www.kjdwyer.blogspot.com.
BTW - Does anyone know where the phrase "band-wagon" came from? Just curious!

The original meaning of bandwagon was a large, ornately decorated, brightly colored wagon carrying the band in a parade. The term "jumping on the bandwagon" originates from the 18th century-early 19th century Southern United States custom of jumping on the bandwagon during a political or religious rally to audibly express support for whatever cause the rally promoted. People trying to advance their own (usually political) careers would jump on the bandwagon to address the public.
